The San Silvestre Vallecana 2013 will be, once more, a sporty way to say goodbye to the current year. It will be the 36th edition of this road race, which holds on December 31st and has become a very popular tradition among people of all ages.
The San Silvestre Vallecana is organized by the brand Nike and will try to set a new record of competitors: last year, more than 30.000 people participated in this road race, which has a distance of 10 kilometres.

Besides, this competition is a good way to see Madrid from another point of view: the race begins in Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, crosses the Salamanca borough, Alcalá Gate, Paseo del Prado, Atocha Station and heads to Vallecas borough, where it finishes.
There are two types of race: the amateur one, which starts at 5.30 PM and the professional one, at 8.00 PM. You can buy your ticket from 15 euros. To go to the start point, the nearest Metro Station is Santiago Bernabeu (Line 10)
