Real Madrid schedule in December 2014

The league is on hold in November to let the players fight for a spot in the upcoming 2016 UEFA European Championship with their national teams. So, the last week of the month will be really giddy with three games for Real Madrid, two of the Premier League and  one of  the Champions League.

Iker Casillas playing

November has been a great month for Real Madrid. The team has won all two matches corresponding to journey 10 and 11 of the Spanish La Liga. With the victory over Barcelona F.C., Real Madrid places itself as first place in the standings, two points ahead of  its  eternal rival and three ahead of Valencia  -in the third place.

Winning to Liverpool was also a great achievement that positioned Real Madrid as the leader of Group B in the Champion League. In fact, Real Madrid maintains a huge advantage over its contenders, being six points ahead of the second team the F.C. Basel.

Regarding the players, the big new is the injury of Luka Modric that will keep him away of the fields at least three months. Ancelotti loses one of its great players, let’s see how he manage it.. Another great new is the recovery of Iker Casillas; his mojo is back! or at least it seems so, after several great saves playing with the Spanish national team.

In December, Real Madrid will face Celta and Sevilla -fifth and seventh in the ranking-  at home. They will also play against Almeria as a visitor. Regarding the Europe’s Champions League “los blancos” will face Ludogorets in Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. This will be a short month since La Liga will pause before Christmas and wont’s be back until January 3rd.
