The team showed their courage beating Sevilla F.C. in the Europe Super Cup, thanks to two goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo. The match against Atletico de Madrid fighting for the Spain Super Cup ended up in a tie result with one goal by James Rodríguez for Real Madrid and one by Raul García for Atletico de Madrid.
