Michelin starred restaurants in Madrid

The famous qualifier system of the Michelin travel guides, has become the worldwide quintessential gourmets’ measure. Recently, Madrid celebrated the granting of the third star to DiverXO, the first restaurant in the city to receive such an award. There are nine Michelin starred restaurants in Madrid, five of them awarded with two stars and three with one star.

The creations of Chef David Muñoz have impressed gourmets worldwide. Coolness, bravery and creativity are the key to success of DiverXO. This restaurant’s menu changes with the season, but only has two possibilities XOW Menu and Menu Glotón XOW. Both menus offer the same food, only vary in quantity and price. To book in DiverXO each commensal have to pay a ticket of €60, which is deducted from the final bill.

Opened in 1998, this restaurant is one of the great gastronomic reference of Madrid. It is located in the Gallardo Built in 1908 by architect Federido Arias Rey. The menu is a creation of Chef Maria Marte.

Kabuki is the only Michelin starred japanese restaurant in Madrid. The Chef Ricardo Sanz prepares a fusion of Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine that has enchanted gourmet worldwide. The desserts in Kabuki are the work of the award-winning pastry chef Oriol Balaguer. Kabuki has a second seat in the Hotel Wellington (C / Velázquez, 8) also awarded with one Michelin star.
