Atletico de Madrid tied the game against Bayer Leverkusen, leaving the door open to a possible victory in the second leg match at Vicente Calderon Stadium on March, 17th. Given the lack of coordination and goals in the first match Atletico do not figures as the favorite to will this match, hopefully Cholo Simeone’s team has managed to solve their problems and will conquer victory.

Atletico de Madrid continued ranking third in La Liga, six points behind Real Madrid -in the second place- and seven points behind Barcelona. The first game of the month against Valencia ended with a tie to a goal, which increased the gap between the team and the leader on the board. The other two contenders on the month, Espanyol and Getafe, are not complicated rivals for Atletico that hopes to win both matches to strengthen its position in La Liga.
